Hemp Extractions

Gnome Serums hemp oil has the highest original plant terpene content of any activated oil on the market. We use no solvents in our proprietary extraction process delivering the purest and most maximized result in the industry.

Using a patented proprietary process the total cannabidiol matrix found in Gnome Serum products contains approximately 85%-90% cannabidiol and 10%-15% cannabidiolic acid. We believe that a mixture of both forms of cannabidiol provides the most beneficial effects.

What is a Hemp Oil Extraction

The subject is vast and the Hemp Oil landscape is very confusing to all people. The Gnome team will make you an expert with the most asked questions we hear all the time.

Industrial Hemp Oil Extractions’s and products are legal in the United States both federally and at the state level. Cannabis CBD’s and products have only been legalized in 29 states in the US from medical to recreational use, while federal laws still qualify it as a schedule 1 narcotic making the industry splintered and difficult to manage.  The following are questions related to Gnome Serum’s products within the Hemp industry:

What is the endocannabinoid system?
The
endocannabinoid system (ECS) is an incredible and new discovery only being realized in the last 10 years and still relatively a mystery. The ECS regulates many things including relaxation, appetite, sleep cycles, certain inflammation responses and even cognitive functions. The two types of cannabinoid receptors found throughout the body are a CB1 and CB2, but they are most abundant in the brain and immune system respectively. In a nutshell, your ECS is responsible for the immune system for making sure your entire body is working optimally. The ECS is also involved in voluntary exercise and may be related to the evolution of the runner's high in human beings and related aspects of motivation or reward for locomotor activity in other animals.

What is CB1 and CB2

Cannabis affects CB1 Receptors and is concentrated in the brain and central nervous system and also scantly populates other parts of the body.

Industrial Hemp CBD2 Receptors are mainly in the peripheral organs, principally cells associated with the immune system

Cannabinoid receptors sit on the surface of cells and “listen” to conditions outside the cell. They transmit information about changing conditions to the inside of the cell, kick-starting the appropriate cellular response boosting the immune response.

Why would hemp (instead of marijuana) be grown for cannabidiol (CBD)?
Industrial hemp is already rich in CBD's , whereas most marijuana is just the opposite (high THC, low CBD).

Through a combination of these unique cultivars, advanced plant genetics, and cutting-edge growing techniques, an exceptionally high percentage of CBD can be produced naturally and consistently in the hemp plant. When CBD-rich hemp oil is extracted from these hemp cultivars—which can be grown in dozens of countries and imported to the USA legally.

Are CBD and THC the same thing?
No, they are different compounds. CBD and THC are both cannabinoids, but THC is the cannabinoid that gets you “high” or “stoned.” CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it won’t get you “high.”

Can I get high from CBD products?
Gnome Serums’ CBD comes from carefully cultivated hemp plants—not marijuana—, which is why it is legal for us to import and use this CBD-rich oil. The industry has spent years developing special cultivars of hemp that produce naturally high levels of CBD and only trace amounts of THC, the psychoactive compound that gives marijuana users the “high” feeling. In comparison to hemp, most recreational cannabis plants have between 5% to over 20% THC. It is legal to cultivate and manufacture CBD products made from industrial hemp while maintaining a THC value of .30.

While CBD still has an effect on your body, consuming CBD by itself isn’t going to send you on the cerebral adventure associated with THC. For decades, medical professionals and the general public overlooked CBD because psychoactive cannabis took center stage.

Hemp Oil Extractions and Your Skin

Hemp Oil Extractions are a powerful antioxidant, meaning it protects the skin from free radicals like UV rays, smoke, and environmental pollutants. Free radicals lead to wrinkles and fine lines, but antioxidants protect our skin from this damage and help fight the effects of aging.

Besides the natural health benefits of the extractions, hemp oil topicals also contain an array of other essential nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, proteins, and fatty acids, to encourage skin health. Vitamins A and D are responsible for skin repair. They support skin cell growth and inhibit oil production to help keep skin soft and supple. Like Hemp Extractions, Vitamins C and E are antioxidants and protect the skin’s collagen and elastin against damage from the sun and free radicals. B complex vitamins serve as part of the construction process for skin, hair and nails to prevent dermatitis, hair loss, and other skin conditions.
